Starting in late August, early September, we will be updating the way country targeting works for shopping products. As a result, after late August, early September the targetCountry field for products and the country field for datafeeds may be empty in the Content API for Shopping. While targetCountry and country are now deprecated and feedLabel has become the recommended approach, there are no plans to remove these fields from v2.1 to preserve backward compatibility.
This upcoming change could impact and potentially break your API integration if your application cannot handle products without a targetCountry or datafeeds without a country. Please see this blog post for further details and recommendations.
If you feel you will not be able to support products without a targetCountry or datafeeds without a country before these changes take effect, you can submit this form to request that such products or feeds temporarily not be returned for your chosen Cloud Project ID (and so avoid any issues that would arise with your API integration if they were present).
Note that if you request this exemption, you will be hiding these products and datafeeds from your integration (they will still exist in the MC account), and you will not be able to support new users with these hidden products and datafeeds via the Content API.
(Your request will be processed within 10 days of submission of this form. Any exemption will be valid until March 31, 2023)
